ClipForge Studio: Video Ads

ClipForge Studio: Video Ads

A Mac video editor for short-form app ads — TikTok, Reels, Shorts and YouTube

Photo & Video · Worldwide · Free editor; Premium monthly, yearly or lifetime

A native Mac video editor for short-form app ads: a multi-lane timeline, on-device captions and text-to-speech voiceover, presets for every short-form platform, and an MCP connection that lets Claude Code drive the editor.

What it does

◱

A real timeline

Text, overlay, video and audio lanes with trim, split and undo, keyframes with easing, 0.25–4× pitch-preserved speed, transitions and colour grades.

◉

Captions synced to the word

On-device auto-captions in word-highlight, pop-in and typewriter styles, contrast-checked against the footage.

◷

Voiceover without a microphone

On-device text-to-speech, one line per beat, with the captions timed from the voice's own word timings.

⇄

One project, every platform

Presets for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube 16:9 and 4:5 feed, each with its safe zones, caption position and duration limits.

⛉

Rendered on your Mac

Everything renders on the Mac, with captions and voiceover generated on-device. Screenshots and recordings sit in a phone frame on your brand gradient.

⇪

Let Claude run the editor

With Premium, Claude Code or any MCP client gets over 50 editor tools, including create_ad, which composes a hook, proof and call-to-action ad from your app's screens and scores it.

Common questions

Is ClipForge free?

The whole editor is free — timeline, text, captions, voiceover, your own media and music, every format and export. Premium adds the UGC hook library, the full licensed music and sound-effects libraries and the Claude connection, monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

Is there an iPhone or Windows version?

No. ClipForge is a native Mac app, on the Mac App Store only, for macOS 14 or later.

Where does the work happen?

Rendering, captions and voiceover all run on the Mac, and the MCP server listens only on the Mac itself (loopback).

Which formats can it export?

TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube 16:9 and a 4:5 feed version, all from one project.
